Cookies are little bits of information about the sites you'd visited like, for example, vinu@answers.yahoo.com will be the cookie for this right now.

They help the site to open quicker on your computer.

If you don't remove them, then they stay there and your sites open very fast.

However, a lot of junk also comes with the sites you visit, so a prudent thing to do is to "Save to Favorites" those sites that you don't want to have deleted in clean up operations by your softwares.

Deleting cookies on a regular basis is advisable, as is the deleting of offline content, because this unnecessarily piles up junk on your system.

To do this, go to Start, then to Control Panel and then to Network Connections and Internet and then to Internet Options.

Here, click on Delete Cookies; then Delete Files [remembering to click a tick into Delete all Offline Conten then Delete History and then click Apply and OK.

Do this on a regular basis to remove unwanted Junk.

Hope this helped.

Cheers.

1. Click on the Start button
2. Click Search
3. For Files and Folders
4. On the left hand side of the pop up box click All Files and Folders
5. Enter the word Cookies
6. Wait while it comes up
7. Double click on a folder, and the delete all the cookies inside

If this doesn't work, email me i'll give you better instructions.

You don't need to know what are cookies. They re just useless things that take up a lot of space in C: and clog your resources. The best way to get rid of them is to download CCleaner(www.ccleaner.com) and run it once daily before shutting down your computer. It will clean up all the cookies and other crap. You can also use it to remove unused registry keys and uninstall software loaded on your computer. And its absolutely free.
