I bought a laptop on Monday 16th and on Wednesday I asked when it would arrive. I was told the seller was on holiday and would get a colleauge to dispatch it that night. On Thursday I was told it would be dispatched that night. I haven't recieved it. I was told by the seller he would speak to me in a few days ie. Monday/Tuesday and I probably will have recieved it by then. I have paid £25 Parcelforce delivery I don't think I should have to wait this long to recieve it. The seller has no feedback so I paid by paypal just incase.
Do you think this is a scam?
What should I do?
Thanks,
Adam

eBay said I need to wait until the 26th (Thursday) before I can start a dispute. I bought off a seller with 0 feedback because its likely they are a new seller, who will deliver their promises and paypal is my insurance. The price was pretty average and I was in with 10 other bidders. I have emailed parcelforce to see if it has been dispatched.

I have started a paypal dispute. The laptop should have been dispatched Thursday (but before business close) I paid £25 for postage. Next day by noon was £19 and £17 for next day guaranteed. If it has been sent 2 working days (ie. should arrive Monday) this would have cost £14.

Initiate a disupte with PayPal for INR (Item Not Received) on Friday it it's not there yet, and you've been in touch over that time as to a delivery date. The seller wiil receive a message and be asked to respond. If they don't respond, or if you don't receive the item, PP refunds your money. (When you contact eBay, they''ll send you to PayPal)
If all is well, and you receive the item, simply withdraw the dispute and leave appropriate feedback.
Most times, the seller is being honest, and delays happen. PayPal is your insurance. But keep trying to contact the seller.

You only won it 5 days ago! Give it time to get to you. Sellers have 7 days to ship to be protected with paypal. They don't HAVE to ship it out the very next day. It depends on the distance in where you live and where your seller lives in the delivery time. You need to wait at least a week or so to see if it arrives. If teh seller can't help you after I'd say at least 2 weeks, you can file an Item Not Received report through Ebay. Right now, you need to just wait and calm down.

First I would get the sellers contact information. If you goto help you could find out how to get this information. If his phone number is not listed or incorrect, you then file a complaint to Ebay AND Paypal I know that if the seller does not respond to disputs from paypal, paypal automatically works on your side to give you your money back.

It probably is a scam. It is also a lesson for everyone who buys things on ebay. All you can do is just keep complaining to e-bay, and they can do not much about it like suspending the seller's account. That's it. Next time, if you buys the items on e-bay, see if the sellers are power-sellers, look at the negative feedbacks, and avoid purchasing the high-valued items.

depends on where the item is coming from, where you live, etc is how long it takes to ship to you plus it depends on how the item was shipped. land, air, sea, etc.
you bought it on monday the 16th and today is now saturday the 21st....thats only 5 days of mail time so far IF the person put it in the mail the second you won it. and even if they did that, not even UPS would have it at your door yet. You state it was shipped thursday night meaning it didn't even get into the mailing system till friday morning. now its the weekend and it will sit till monday morning before it starts to move again.
just cause you won it instantly doens't mean it appears instantly in your hands.

WHY are you buying from a seller who has NO FEEDBACK?
READ the ENTIRE auction listing, CAREFULLY, and ALL Feedback, BEFORE buying!
Caveat emptor always applies!
Contact PayPal. Stop the transaction, if you can.
Report to eBay.
If it sounds too good to be true, it IS.

Just wait till Tues. If IT does not arrive by then there is a link on eBay to report it. You can report them to eBay that you have paid and they did not send your product. Even if its not the product you were expecting, or you are missing something you can report it to eBay.

Report it to eBay. And probably to Paypal, too, although I admit I've never used them. They probably have a complaint procedure.

I don't have much faith in this online shopping and all. How can you trust someone you have never seen or heard or 'felt'?
