Most Wall Street people and other sophisticated investors say that if they can get tomorrow's Wall Street Journal today, they will become extremely wealthy at the end of today's trading day. Can you say the same for yourself?

Okay- Say I'm getting $250,000. I don't know what I'm going to do with it, but I was thinking stocks and bonds? But how does that work? And if I were to "invest" all of it, how could I increase the amount in a quick timespan?

My workplace offers ING funds for the 401(k). The account management fee yearly is $15. I may choose one of their funds called ING Global something, which has a total operating expenses of 0.66/year. I invest in a ROTH IRA at $50/month. I live on paycheck to paycheck and have a very tight budget. I'm not sure what to do. One voice says to not invest in the 401(k) and the other voice says go ahead. The starting contribution is $500 and I don't have that kind of money right now. I kind of think in a few years when I have a better job from being a rad tech, I make good money.

I found that quote.yahoo.com has an email alert that notifies you when a given symbol looses/gains X percent, but I didn't find anything simple that lets me enter my email address, a given symbol and X week low. Thank you for your help.

I am not sure of the particulars of inflation indexed bonds...

where does the inflation go? into the face value?

More to the point - i am thinking of buying a 0-coupon inflation indexed bond, ( http://www.bonds.is/MarketOverview.aspx?catID=1631&Type=Bond&OrderBookId=11028) but the price is higher than par value, how can the yeild be more than 5% if this is the case? for any yeild, doesn't the price need to be lower than 100 basis points?

Does anyone know or work as a stocker broker and can answear this. My neighbor was arrest for assault and battery this past weekend, and monday the Judge signed a warrant for his arrest for Criminal Trespassing. These are misdomenor offenses but will be on his criminal record if found guilty. He told the Judge and police he was a Wall Street Broker, we live in SC. The Judge that issued his bond and signed the warrant said he was really worried this could cost him his job. I want him to know I am taking this serious and sounds bad but I would love to see him lose him license. Anyone know if that might happen or was he just tring to get the Judge to feel sorry for him.

Also is their anything I can do to speed this up, I am guessing that any license he needs is a matter of public record. But thats a gues.

I am 18 and have worked the past two summers, and have about 5k (will have about 9k at end of summer). I am attending college next year and have recieved many scholarships. All of my school is paid for (all four years). Is there a good reason that I should invest some money instead of just letting it sit in the bank? If so, why and what should I invest in?
