I've heard that German skin doesn't tan very well.. I'm mostly German and no matter HOW hard I try, I DON'T TAN. I don't even sunburn. My grandma came from Germany.. so is it true??

She has tried some ways to give a lighter color to her face and still suffering with no obvious result. Actually I do not care it but she cares and she secretly hopes she will get a white skin if she tries hard enough! I am caucasian, she is Chinese, we live in China. It's a kind of craze here, you are considered beautiful if you have white skin and big big big eyes. So funny. well, what is the best way to come out of this funny and sometimes boring situation? I have had such an issue with this. And after reading
about a hundred threads on this issue consensus seems
that they always have been and always will be ugly to
many people.

What sucks is there is nothing you can do about them.
When i was a little girl i used to get called names
and ridiculed because of them. I would come home
crying alot because everyone told me freckle faces
are ugly.

Now that im older i dont have nearly as many.
I think they are the thickest on my arms.
And i have some on my face and legs.

I guess i wish people wouldnt do that its
not like the child/person can help it.
I always thought in highschool that
if i could just get rid of them i would
be such a beautiful girl. I know
i am not the only one to feel this way.

It seems realy stupid to complain about
it since that is all in the past. And I have
had no problem with catching a man.
But the past hurts ya know...
and sometimes ill hear a comment
about them and wince a little.
Old wounds go deep.

I always make sure I use a ton of lotion for my 3 kids, all boys ages 4,7 and 9. I always make an effort to keep my kids skin healthy and smooth as can be. I Lotion my kids up after baths and at mornings,nights with Olay Quench Body lotion.

What type of body lotion do you use on your kids?
