No, that is not true.
You could grow like 1 or 2 inches more. Girls stop growing at the age of 16 or 18, lucky for men they stop at the age of 21 -25.
So have no need to be worry, you will grown a little bit more. But if you want to grow more then just a little, do lots of jumping, like basket ball or jump rope, that helps your bones stretch more.
Have a nice growing life. Just to grow to much so you can use heels.

I'm short, too, and got my period when I was 12 and that was 9 years ago. I recently went to the doctor and found I grew at least a half inch if not an inch. I wouldn't worry about not growing anymore...you can, even after your period. Besides, being short isn't that bad. I'm 21 and not even 5 ft even with that tiny growth spurt.

Everyone grows at different rates, I wouldn't worry until your between 16 and 18. If you haven't grown more by then you likely won't grow anymore. Don't spend too much time on it though, your height has nothing to do with you being a good person and having an awesome life.

A girl usually stops growing between the ages of 16 & 18. You should still get a few inches, but there's nothing wrong with being a little undersized.

Hi Natasha, I was 10 when i got mine and I grew a little bit since then but not much.. I am 23 and 5'2", not a big deal though, guys LOVE short girls and you always get to wear heals w/out worrying if you will be taller then your date. I love it!

That's not true, your growth slows down once you start your period but it doesn't completely stop until ur abt 16-18.Look at how tall your parents, aunts and cousins ect are, thats a good way to tell what your height may be. Celebrate your individuality!

Hmmm.....actually yeah, itz somwhat true, but if u work out regularly u mite shoot up.
dont listen to people cuz u can still grow till 16 or 18yrs!!

well i am 16 and imy hight is 4'9 maybe you well grow alitter bit more hey you grow intill you are about 16 or 17

you still have plenty of growing, just don't smoke cigarettes. You are very young to be worrying about your height you likely haven't had your growth spurt yet.
