Fashion & Accessories - February 2007

I'm a young 32 who still likes to look trendy without pretending to be in my 20's...I'm in school now but will be going back to work soon, so I'm looking for business-casual clothes that are comfortable enough to wear around the house too. Not too expensive but not cheap either...google gives a sea of results, help!

I'm attending a black-tie Academy Awards gala at the end of the month, and I'm going to my salon for a hair updo. Based on my dress, which of these updos would look the best?

I'm going clubbing with some friends for my mates 21st but they have no sense of occasion...

I don't like being shy and unnoticed and they need attention, so I figure if I look daft, they'll get some!

Shall I just wear a normal clothes or scare them and go in a full bunny girl outfit?

Or any other suggestions to make sure we get noticed!?

I'm looking for a pair of flip flops for next summer. I'm thinking about a pair that's leather with a thin strap, a very thin sole, and a little bit of arch support. Anybody got any brands or models I should look into? Most men's flip flops have a strap about three inches long with a sole two inches thick, I don't really like that look at all. Thanks for any help.

I get a lot of "hand-me-downs" which I love. (I'm a single mom 38 yrs old) I have all kinds of sizes and they all fit. How would I attempt to actually go shopping? where would I look? I have some women's sizes 8, 10, 12's and even several junior sizes 9 to 13. They all fit. What's the deal? What size am I and how can I begin to know whichsize best fits?

I live in Chicago, and our high is only 10 F! I have voice today, and I just want to go in something cozy.

I just want to wear my a&f sweats with some sweatshirt. Do you think it'll make me look bad in front of my voice teacher?

She's a Russian-Jew, and I don't want her to think I'm a sloppy East Indian-American girl.

But I really don't want to go in my uniform skirt, sweats underneath, my uniform shirt, my vest, and a sweatshirt over that. I already wear a North Face coat! A long one!

So, should I wear sweats and a sweatshirt? (With Uggs, there's snow here)

I have a relatively small waist, but I have big thighs and so it's kind of hard for me to buy jeans. The waist of jeans would fit fine for me, but since there small-waisted, its expected that it's for a skinny person, so the thighs would then be tight on me, which I don't like. Sucks for me cuz then I have to wear 1 size bigger jean sizes so there too big for me at the waist but fine for me at the thighs, so I always have to belt them really tight. What kind of jeans should I be wearing (ie. style: bootcut, straight leg, ect...) or is there a brand of jeans that would suit me?

i recently purchased a pair of eyeglasses at americas best (which is about 150 miles from where i live and really dont want to go back) and after receiving them i realized that they are not big enough nose area width and the complete width of the glasses for my fat head (lol) they are bogo b yale gun 135 standard what ever that is. i have searched the internet and cannot find this pair anywhere. here is my question can i change the lens to more frames and if so how do i know which frames my lens will fit and how do i change them and what kind of price range am i looking at to do this or can my frames be made larger somehow please help thanks
