I get a lot of "hand-me-downs" which I love. (I'm a single mom 38 yrs old) I have all kinds of sizes and they all fit. How would I attempt to actually go shopping? where would I look? I have some women's sizes 8, 10, 12's and even several junior sizes 9 to 13. They all fit. What's the deal? What size am I and how can I begin to know whichsize best fits?

You never know!! You can go to one store and certain styles may fit different. The best thing to do is just try them on before you buy them. I have to everytime!!!

If you're 38 years old, you really shouldn't be wearing juniors' clothing. It's just not age-appropriate. I don't think anyone should wear juniors' clothing over the age of 25, actually. It's cut for teenage girls' bodies without a lot of curve. A lot of the jeans and pants are cut very straight and with a low rise - women over the age of 25 should wear medium-rise pants.

I would stick with the misses' sizes that fit you best (you mentioned 8s, 10s, and 12s) - no one size is the same universally. It all depends on the manufacturer/designer. Don't get distraught because you happen to be the size 12 as opposed to the size 10 or 8 in a pair of pants; if they fit you best, then you'll look your best.

Generally it is not to different. Juniors go 3,5,7,9,...then Misses goes 2,4,6,8 So me personally I wear a 7 juniors and a 6 sometimes 8 misses. The only thing you will run into is Juniors are made for just that so the cut will be different a lot of time because it is built for a younger persons body. All you can do is try stuff on and see what works for you!
