I understand I'd need to sew a hem for the background support, and that I'd need heavy material, but what other benefits are there? It seems so much cheaper to buy something from a craft store. Thanks for your answers.

Assuming one is using a good quality primer, paint, finish... how do you determine how much to charge for doing a mural painting?

I've always wanted to go... I'm not even sure if there are still tickets available... I just don't know anyone who's been and I'm not sure if the expenses and travel are worth it.

Just bought an aspen litho and now I want to frame it, but I don't know what color to choose. This pic is quite fancy, so I'm going for an 'expensive' look. And here's the litho: http://www.aspenstore.com/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=498

I have a religious themed oil painting that was done about 1890 by Lillie Fischer whom I believe was American. She may have lived in the mid-western states of the US.

I am told it is also called the dirty book of the bible, from the book of Ruth. I also know it was from Boxwood Press in 1083. We are trying to find out the value or if there is a market to purchase this item.

I've been told that using layers in the GIMP is a good way to color in lineart because they allow one to color beneath the lines. Do any of you know how this is done?
