I have a religious themed oil painting that was done about 1890 by Lillie Fischer whom I believe was American. She may have lived in the mid-western states of the US.

Lillie Fischer was born in Monticello, Indiana. She trained at the Cincinnati Art Academy, The Corcoran Art school, the arts student league and in Paris. Her core teachers were artists George Elmer Brown, Arthur Wolfe, Guy Wiggins, Emily Gruppe, and Cameron Mitchell who was a student of Claude Monet. She exhibited her work mostly at the Hoosier Salon from 1925 until 1943 when she died.
She was an easel painter that worked primarily in oils. Her style was considered realist/representational and she chose still life subjects.
While I don't know the name or value of your painting, I do know that just recently a painting she did of a bowl of apples sold for $1200.

I hope this helps.
