Here's my small world experience:
A girl I went to elementary school with in Missouri and a guy I went to high school with in Arizona met and married in Oregon!
Here's a strange coincidence:
Abe Lincoln and JFK-
Lincoln was assassinated in Ford's theatre.
Kennedy was assassinated while riding in a Lincoln made by Ford.(by Lee Harvey Oswald, who was captured in a nearby theater.)

I wear a name tag for work and lost the back magnet part to it. SO, I was thinking I could just buy a magnet somewhere and use the back as a replacement back for my nametag...Any ideas as to where to buy one in a national store?

I do live in LA but that shouldn't matter, right?

Asking because knitting and crochet are such popular crafts today, but I never came accross knitting or crochet patterns from Brasil. I'm most familiar with English, American, Australian and French knitware designs-and they are all different- and I wonder what original Brasilian designs are like. I'm especially interested in Baby garments.

"Waking With Your World"

Hold- what is close to you
Don't let this go...
Keep- what is dear to you
Close to your soul...
Make- your own world with your
Feelings that flow...
Watch- with the wonder of
Things you control...
Wake- from this slumber that's
Kept you so low...
Show- all the world what you
Carry inside...

Hope you like it. If you do, there's more on my 360 page.
If not, that's cool, but I'd appreciate any feedback you may have.

There are several places in the world which I'd really like to see - famous monuments, castles, ancient buildings, etc. But at this point, it isn't feasible or possible for me to travel there. For the interest of both historical preservation and for people like me, it would seem like there would be some movement to create a "virtual" reproduction of famous places. I mean, something 3D on a computer that you could walk around and look at the buildings, explore around a bit, maybe view the artwork inside, etc. The only thing close to this that I've encountered is with Encarta, which has a couple of 3D exploreable places.

My question is: Would it be possible to create an as-close-to-life as possible virtual reality reproduction of a physical place?
Also, are there any such projects out there?

I guess I'd like to see the world without having to get on a plane and go there physically...
