Like, would you have been more involved or tried harder to get good grades? Would you change your priorities?

First, I would change my associations--the company that I kept. When I first started high school I used to hang out with the so called late bloomers and geeks. I got the big head and decided that I was too sexy for my friends and started hanging out with the pot-heads and the promiscuous. None of them amounted to anything, and my "old" friends are all successful and reasonably "happy". At least I didn't make enemies with them. However, because of the "new" friends, I was turned on the things that I had no business getting involved in at such a young age.
Also, I would've applied myself better to achieve the straight-A status that I was perfectly capable of attaining. However, like so many teenage girls, I "dumbed out" because I thought boys wouldn't like me.
I definitely would change my priorities! School is for learning; it's not a popularity contest or a social convention. The so-called friends that I thought were "cool" turned out to be the biggest losers, and I had to work extra hard to play catch-up, get rid of the old associations, etc. Sometimes I regret many things about my high school days, but I can't change the past. But I can change my future. Thank God.
I was one of the "gifted" kids, and I was offered to attend H.S. for gifted students in a distant town. Like a moron, I turned it down because I didn't want to leave my so-called friends. Had I taken advantage of that opportunity, things would be different today. Then again, I wouldn't have had the life experience to answer your Question with such an answer as this....

Hey..this is a true story!!:
About a year after I graduated, I had to go back to my High School to pick up a transcript, why, I don't recall because I was already in College.
Anyhow, while I was walking through the hall to the office, I was getting hit on by all these HOT GIRLS. Most of them were old enough for me at the time (I guess I was 19).
If I were to go back to High School, I would definitely play the field more!! I had a girlfriend, but I wouldn't now!!

I went to different schools for my 3 high school years. 10th grade
in Ludwigsburg, Germany (as an Army Brat) 11th grade in Follansbee, West Virginia (Dad's last year in Army) and then to
John Marshall HS in Cleveland, Ohio for my senior year so the 1
thing I would change is that I do all 3 years in the same school so
I could get involved in more clubs & athletics and so I could have
taken more courses that I wanted to take but were full by the time
I went to the school.

I would have a different attitude. I was always picked on in school and was "too nice" of a guy to fight back. Boy, if I went back in time to go to high school... I wouldn't have put up with as much crap as I did. There would be some people in this world now that would be wearing fake front teeth. No more Mr. Nice Guy!
