I think some just are having fun with the system, and like to annoy others!

I uses Wikipedia if I have little time to search, or need more of an encyclopedia info, though if I have time, and am looking for a more creative idea Google.

The point in asking "What is Rock Music?" is if a music style is slightly different. I love Blues, Jazz, Alternative and Rock and they are all distinct, yet relate to each in very special ways, understanding this, the history of each is very fascinating, and the experience is bold. To learn as much as you can about a topic, whereever you can get it becomes very personal and informative.

I don't look in either. I will try to answer the question the best I know how and if I need a reference I search for the answer through the net and not google or wikipedia.
As for the point on "pointless" question asked by people? They are just looking for a bit of fun and to pass the time.

You can not trust any answer you find on the internet unless you know you can trust the source. Wikipedia allows their users to submit their own answers and openly admit this on their home page "the free encyclopedia that anyone can edit." They have been sued as a result of not correcting false information. Of course, you can not necessarily trust my answer either ;-)

No - you get the whole me and my own self. No need to leave to other sources. If I do get stumped to answer then obviulsoy I would not open the question at hand. I do read the answers given by others just as a reference point and they do not reflect the answer I give. Honesty is the best policy?

Yeah and how about the high schoolers asking for homework help? What a shame. Wikipedia is one of my favorite sites ever.

No. I think most of them don't even know what a web search is. The rest just sit around thinking up really stupid questions to ask.

Yes if I don't know the answer. I will cite the source though.
