A relative was listed as having the occupation of "tarhonnist" The dates are around 1764-1768. I've tried all kinds of dictionaries from the time and such, to no avail! Ugh! It would just be cool to have the unanswerable question answered.

I am interested to know if there are old birth certificates (from what year) from all western towns of Pangasinan. This is to trace my ancestors up to the 17th century or earlier if ever there are available records in Phil. National Archive.

Alright, I've been into genealogy for about five years now. Here's the brick wall I've hit.

George Washington Duffie/Duffey/Duffe
Had at least one child (born in 1840), William Duffie (lived in KY early in life, then moved to Alabama, Died in Coulterville 1923)
At some point, he probably lived in the area around Cincinatti, but on the Kentucky side.
Married "Margaret Starkey" ... Margaret may have gone by a different first name, as common with Margarets.
His parents probably came from Ireland, but George was most likely born in the USA, as his name suggests.
And no, I have no clue what the last name's spelling was. His son was listed as "William Duffe" once but that was only in one record. We have a bit of lore that William changed his name spelling to Duffie after a gunfight in Kentucky (which made him to move to AL), so we think that George's name would not be spelled Duffie if the story was true. No clue if it is true.

Can anyone find any details about George or family?

I hope someone can help me here because I have a serious question especially for any Native Americans/ Cherokee Indians. A few months ago I had a dream about a Cherokee Indian ancestor of mine that I never even knew existed until she appeared to me in my dream. I at first thought it was just a dream because I've never had anything happen like this before but I couldn't forget about it and it bugged me to where I asked some family members if we had any Cherokee ancestors and come to find out we did and all the details she gave me in the dream were correct. She told me that she was on my Dad's side of the family and that since the people in the family that knew about her had died she was afraid of being forgotten and of also her heritage and history being forgotten. She asked me to not forget her and to keep her memory alive. My question is this, has anyone had anything like this happen to them before? Especially with Native American ancestors? Thanks.

He was in the Grenadier Guards during WW2. His army number was 2617178 and we believe he was in the 5th Battalion. We have sent for his army records from the MOD and they sent us information that was completely wrong! Eg. the details of the person they sent had the wrong DOB, marriage details etc. We have no trace of him after the war. He did have a son, also called William. However, his first wife went off with someone else while he was away fighting and no one can remember her name/have conveniently forgotten it!

What would you do next? Re-apply to the MOD for information requesting they check their records? I cannot find his death registered anywhere. So, keep trawling the death registers? How can we locate his young son Billy? Can anyone help?

NB: I'm aware we can't examine the census data post 1901 in the UK. Is it possible to request info from the 1941 census? Where would we request it from? What documentation would we need?
Thanks in advance for any useful replies.
