I have had very good results using Genes Reunited, i found my Sister who my mother gave up to be adopted, also found other relatives who have a connection to my Grandparents siblings, also been given information from others who use the site. i only found out that i had a sister a few years ago but could not find her until i used Genes Reunited, as my sister also used the site.
Its also great for finding others who have share the same people in their tree its alot quicker to find the connections and the info can be shared. its cheaper as well,

In the last year I've found quite a few distant cousins who were able to give me details of what happened in their line. Sharing trees is a good method to exchange info.

Genes Reunited is especially good for people in England with English ancestors.
Many genealogy sites are designed for those searching from the USA, and so - quite appropriately for them - have info which is particular to emigration, and US records.
This can take a lot of sifting through if your family never left England.

Having an English mother and a Canadian father, I can see both sides of this: but I must say it's nice to have one site which is predominantly for those who never left the old country.

So all in all; yes, good results.
Hope it works as well for you!

Yes, found a couple of cousins, whom I share the same great great grandmother, both living the other side of the world, and an invite to spend time on the Gold coast and Bay of Islands in NZ

Several other distant relatives who are also investigating our tree, and we have shared the information, which I find is priceless!!! So yep, I think I am happy with events so far!!!
