For those of you in the publishing industry - especially the book publishing industry - I have a question for you. Of course you have to go to parties and socialize with clients.

Are you constantly bombarded with, say, influencial people - those you can't afford to offend - having them pull you aside to say, " hey, would you mind reading my wife's manuscript? " Or their cousin's dog's sister's owner's housekeeper's husband's manuscript?

I've always wondered about that. Since this is an anonymous forum, you can vent your heart out.

Just wonder what connection age and experience has with the ability to get joy and excitement.

When I read for a long time, when I stop reading(or finish the book) I often feel like I've woken up from a very nice nap. Does anyone else ever feel like that?
