I am going to Zurich and Gimmelwald/ Interlocken in May. Are there any ski resorts by those towns that would be boardable in May? Can you rent boards and boots at the mountains? Is a day pass pretty expensive???

Thanks so much!

Is there a train ride? How much does it cost (roundtrip) and how long does it take? Also, is there a tram/gondola/funicular to get to the top of a nearby mountain for grat views (in Lucerne or Zermatt)? Thank you!

Does anyone get the idea that in Switzerland, ppl tend to speak the language of their given region and maybe English? It struck me that the ppl in Geneva speak only French and not German, Italian or Romansch. Perhaps this is similiar to other parts of that country (e.g. Zurich ppl speaking German, but not Italian, French, etc.).
