I always wanted to visit Switzerland. What kinds of things are there to do there? What are some of your favorite places to go there?

Its a definitely YES answer.
Why?
1. its clean and safe (compare to any other place in the whole world, even to neighbouring countries)
2. Well built infrastructure makes tourist feel comfortable!!! nice train schedule, systems etc
3. Marvelous view!!!
Things to do:
1. Skiing
2. Eat local food: fondue, raclette, other kind of cheese and dairy products. Chocolate for sure!...Drink beer in Macdonald and pay for its sauce...
3. Take picture!!!!
4. take a walk n old town (available in most cities)
My fave:
1. Montreux
2. Jungfraujogh (sorry is its misspelled) - its the highest point in Europe that anyone could put his feet on.
3. Matterhorn
4. Lugano - great city
5. Zurich

Enjoy!!!!!!

I love Switzerland!!! I am a mountain freak, so I can tell you that my favorite places is Grindelwald in the Bernese Oberland. You can see the huge mountains from there- Eiger, Jungfroch, etc. You might like to see the Matterhorn as well. I'm not a big fan of the big cities (Zurich, Bern, etc.) but if you like cities they are very nice and VERY CLEAN. I recently went to Toggenburg (which is a small, rarely visited area in eastern Switzerland) and had a good time. Scenery is different- mountains aren't as high. You can't go wrong in Switzerland (or in Bavaria-southern Germany- or Austria) as far as I'm concerned, but I just love those really big mountains!

yes!!! It's a great place to vistit (living there is an other issue...I live in Switzerland) You'll defenitly want to see the mountains, maybe take a train/cablecar to the top. i'd also reocmmend visiting some of the cities. Lucerne, Bern, Geneva, Zurich, Lugano, ..... they're all nice and it really depends on what you want to see. And then of course there's the chocolate.......!

S-w-i-t-z-e-r-l-a-n-d... the very mention of the country conjures up only positive things about this wonderful land with its marvellous people. No matter where I roamed - Germanic, Italian, French or Romanisch regions - I lived joyously! Snow-covered mountain and idyllic lake resorts, picture-postcard towns and farmland, authentic Swiss-made products (unlike made-in-china disneyland merchandise)... and above all the culinary feast of unique Swiss fare - all a treat to explore, experience and enjoy. Why can't the rest of the world be more Swiss? [sigh]

You should hit the Swiss government website for a peek as to what the country has to offer.
