Five of us are going to Dublin on Wed for a day trip. Would it be better to hire a car for the day or go on the bus into the city centre? I can hire a car for £27.00 for the whole day so I am not sure if that would work out cheaper than five of us getting the bus into the city centre. Someone told me there is not any places to park the car in Dublin. What advice could anyone give me and do you know how much is it for the bus from the aiprport into the centre of Dublin. I thought the car would be better as we could go and see more of the city plus travel outside the city and see a bit of the surrounding countryside. I have got my TomTom so not worried about getting lost. Is petrol expensive in Ireland?

Also, is anyone familiar with Swords in Co Dublin? Is there a train in Swords that will take us to Limerick City, or into Dublin so that we can catch a train to Limerick? Thanks for any information!

A friend of mine said she was inRome, and old men dressed as gladiators were charging €10 for a photo with them, that you take on your own camera!!!!

So I was thinking, if I dressed up as Molly Malone, pushed a cart around Dublin with my ample bosoms ,barely covered in a low cut dress... how much do you think I could charge for a photo...and some cockles and mussels...alive alive oh!

I am travelling to Dublin very soon and was asking what sort of elctrical sockets they have as I wish to be charging my camera batteries over there and whether I would need to bring an adaptor to use the standard 3 pin I have with the charger.

Actually i'm booking a hotel for my parents online and i am thinking of booking one north of the liffey in parnell street but my question is... does anyone know if its safe to walk around north of the river at night and is that why the hotels are cheaper at that side or is it just because you will have to walk a bit to the tourist stuff. i have been to dublin before but have not really been over that side yet, thanks!
