I don't like the cold and I don't like rain. I've heard that the temp is between 45 and 70 in August and it rains a lot. How much fun could it be cramped up in a little cabin or suffering in the chill and damp?

All of the cruise itineraries I have looked at that include Paris as a port say that it's really stopping Le Havre. That's a couple of hours away from Paris. I was wondering if anyone knows how cruise passengers get to Paris and how much does it cost?

I'm looking to take a cruise and the 4 day cruises which go from La, catalina island, ensenada, then La again are under $300. The 7 night cruises are around 500 dollars but you get puerto vallerta, cabo san lucas, mazatlan, then back to LA. I want to party and also have a romantic time. Is the 4 days trip to Catalina and ensanada what I'm looking for?

Me and my sis are planning to go on a Carnival Cruise in November. We were exsctatic until we found out it was on the oldest ship in the fleet! If anyone has been on Carnival Celebration, please fill us in on the experience! We are going on a cruise to Italy from Barcelona Spain. The ship docks in Neice, Provence, Florence, Rome and Naples. What are some points of interest to see while there? We only have about 9 -10 hours in each port ( not counting the travel time to and from the ship).

Me and two friends are taking a four night cruise on RC Majesty of the seas. I was hoping someone could give me examples of what they offered in the dining room for dinner. Were there usually many choices? What kinds of food was offered, pasta/steak/seafood etc.? Did any find it better to eat at Windjammers? Thanks.

If I am going on a week cruise but want to stay longer in the port before and after, will carnival or travel agents set it up so that you can. Or will the flights be right before and right after the cruise? would you have to pay extra for an extended flight?

I understand about leaving big tips at the end of the cruise for everyone and the guidelines with that. But what if we order room service, should I give a tip right there?

If I need to do it on the spot (maybe I would have a different room service person later, so I'd have to tip each time?) should it be $5?

There will just be two of us. I'd rather stay in the room and eat breakfast in the mornings.

OK.I have read everything I could possibly read about cruising (visited all of the websites). I know there are no tanktops or shorts permitted for the diningroom, but what about a shirt w/ spaghetti straps or a fashionable halter? I know dresses w/spaghetti straps are allowed, but I just don't know. I am not talking about formal night. (Carnival Valor 7-day western carribean)
