Me and my sis are planning to go on a Carnival Cruise in November. We were exsctatic until we found out it was on the oldest ship in the fleet! If anyone has been on Carnival Celebration, please fill us in on the experience! Also, I heard that there food was terrible! please share your thoughts on the cruise (people who have sailed on it only, please) Thanks

The Celebration is not Carnival's oldest ship. The Holiday is. The Holiday was launched in 1985 and the Celebration was launched in 1987.

Carnival has improved its food to the point where I think it is a little better than Royal Caribbean (I have been on three Carnival cruises, including the Holiday in 2001 and two Royal Caribbean cruises - I am booked on two more Royal Caribbean cruises and one more Carnival cruise over the next two years).

The Celebration does not have all the bells and whistles that ships built since 2001 have, but I believe you will find that there is plenty to do and you will have a lot of fun.

I have never been on the Celebration but have been on a few of Carnivals older ships and found them just fine. They renovate the ships every so many voyages so things are fresh. The food on all the ships ive been on was also fantastic.I have been on 5 cruises in the last 18 months or so, yes i have a bit of a traveling problem ( and im 43 so it isnt like im a senior citizen) Go and have a great time, and make your own opinions.

The food is not terrible. I have been on 2 Carnival cruises, and the food has been great both times. Yes, Celebration is an older ship, but she still has everything you need to have a good time. Plus, there is less of a chance of getting lost and you won't wear yourself out from just walking from one end of the ship to the other.

I took Carnival a few years ago to Mexico. The only thing there was to do was eat, drink and gamble. They didn't have many other activities. The cruise seemed designed for couples, so single people and kids were left out of most activities. I wouldn't go again. You needn't worry about the ship - it will be beautiful. I've been told Royal Carribbean is better.

Sorry, don't know, but I wish you and your sisters are great time! No matter what the ship is like, just overlook the little crap. In the end, it doesn't matter. What matters is the time you spend with your girls.
Have an awesome time!
