Too many people from towns with their own football teams pay through the nose to go watch Rangers & Celtic.
Why not support your local team instead of glory hunting big-city teams?
I stay in Kirkcaldy and have supported Raith all my life, we've had our up's (Coca Cola cup 94 and wee european adventure) and our downs ( near closure & Claude "le fraud" Anelka) but thats what is great about wee home town teams, they're not faceless like the big teams and you feel more a part of it.
Go watch your home-town team folks, from my life-long experience it's a rollercoaster that you never want to get off.

I stopped taking an interest in club football many years ago after the atmosphere was ripped out of all grounds by the introduction of all seater stadiums. No terraces killed the game.

I miss having quality players like Danny Mcgrain and Davie cooper, who as well as having skill seemed to be more charasmatic than the usual overpaid foreign rejects we have nowadays.

Beats me how people get excited watching a player getting £30,000 a week who has no local ties to a club whilst eating their £3.50 burger sitting in their £50 replica top.

Do you think the game will ever get back to it roots?

So the English Olympic Association is going to charge ahead with a united football team for THEIR Olympics in 2012. Despite the Scottish and Welsh FA not attending their little shindig this week, the EOA have stated that they will be going ahead with a UK team regardless. There are only two solutions to this problem. Any Scots selected refuse to participate or the Scots start a campaign over the next 6 years for a representitive Scottish team that covers all sports. We have our own Parliament and we are allowed to participate at the Commonwealth Games, so why not the Olympics?
