The Heysel Stadium disaster occurred due to football hooliganism in which a retaining wall of the Heysel Stadium in Brussels collapsed on May 29, 1985 during a football match between Liverpool F.C. from England and Juventus FC from Italy. 39 people were killed, mostly Italian Juventus fans. The match was the final of the 1985 European Cup tournament.

About an hour before the scheduled kick-off time, Liverpool fans breached a fence separating the two groups of supporters and charged. Juventus fans were forced to retreat, putting pressure on a dilapidated wall, which collapsed on top of them. The game was played despite the disaster. Liverpool were later banned from all European competitions for six years and all other English clubs were banned for five years.

The disaster has been called "the darkest hour in the history of the UEFA competitions.

I know most people do not want to here this, but they will anyways. I know many people are hurt from touzours decision, mimi zizou's decision, and #1 chelsea fan's. But, #1 chelsea fan has told me she plans to return November 7th. After some recent events (what i mentioned) I have decided to take a break from Yahoo! Answers. Not only the recent events, but there are important events coming up in my life. Right now I am getting ready for my Bar Mitzvah, my birthday, and very busy with school and soccer. I will still be using yahoo mail, and maybe come on here once in a while. You can always email me. The good news is, i will return the week after my bar mitzvah. It might not be right after it though because i will still be quite busy with stuff concerning it.

The Brazilian squad at the 2010 FIFA world cup will be the strongest Brazilian side of all time? I mean like they will have the cream of the crop kinds of players and first-rate talent. It's a good thing Cafu and R Carlos have left for good as they didn't impress in Germany 2006. New players will pop up that we have never heard of before, and the best players from today will be there in S Africa!!! This includes: Dida, Ronaldo, Kaka, Ronaldinho, Adriano, Robinho. why are we making a big deal about it?
