Which team will be like this year's Saints and turn their season around next year? Which team that fell short of the playoffs this year stands the best chance in playing in the 2008 Super Bowl?

The NFL forbids any public viewing of the Super Bowl on big screen tv's outside of sports bars. They told a CHURCH GROUP in Indiana they could not have a Super Bowl party because they planned on showing it on a big screen. Give me a break! They really need to lighten up.

Since a large majority of the United States celebrate the Superbowl with huge parties and gatherings on Sunday, do you feel that Monday should be a holiday or at least Mandated a half day option?

Compare for your self:

Career catches:
Monk-940 Irvin-750

Career rec. yards:
Monk:12,721 Irvin-11,904

TD's:
Monk-68 Irvin-65

Not to mention when Monk retired, he held or had held NFL records for:

Most career receptions:940
Single season receptions:103
Consecutive games with at least one reception:183 (one hundred eighty-three!)

But I did forget the one stat that Irvin beat Monk in--ARRESTS...

please help me figure this one out.

The GB Packers played in the first two AFL-NFL World Championships in '66 & '67. Wasn't the term "Superbowl" used for the 3rd meeting for the championships for the first time and then "back-dated" referring to the first two championships as Superbowls 1 & 2?

How can the voters pick Michael Irvin over Art Monk? Monk only has more receptions in his career than 100% of the players in the hall or currently elligible for voting. He has been passed by Rice and a couple others, but at one point in his career he was the all time leading wide receiver. And he did it with mediocre quarterbacks throwing to him. For me, the Hall has lost all credibility. There's a case for Irvin, but he shouldn't have gotten in over Monk--straight up, I'd pick Monk over Irvin any day.

I for one am surprised Monk didn't get in AGAIN. (for very good arguments on why he should be in, go here http://www.monk4thehall.com/ and download the video (I reccomend the full 21min 170mb version, but you can download parts separately or watch it on youtube).

I'm also very dissapointed that Derrick Thomas didn't get it. After Lawrence Taylor, he is the only guy who comes close when it comes to sack-getting OLBs (I would say 3-4, but I'm not sure if that's what the chiefs used then). He one of the best OLBs to play the game. I could elaborate, but I won't because it will just come off as bitter complaining, and there's nothing it can do to get him in sooner.

I am glad Bruce Mathews and Thurman Thomas got in though, they deserved it, and to an extent Michael Irvin....

Tomorrow, 02/04/07, the Indianapolis Colts will face the Chicago Bears in the biggest sporting event of the year. Who do you think will win, and what do you think the score will be? the closest pick wins best answer, and in the event of a tie, the earliest wins.

By the way, am I the only one that thinks it sucks that Prince is performing at the Pepsi Halftime Show?
