Cricket - March 2007

I am talking on analytical basis....what went wrong in the field? How did so many wickets fall so fast and early in the game? Was there a way to foresee those fast balls by Sri Lanka and avoid those mistakes or were they even mistakes or just bad luck?? Was the fielding poor even though India tried hard to stop the 4s and let them have only one runs?? I am so sad...I want serious answers only, please. I don't want the crapp of "b/c they just want to be in commercials or they should resign". Tell me why you think India did so bad in world cup this year?

have seen 7 "all or nothing games" ie 4 quarter finals 2 semi finals and the final.

why wont they give us more exciting matches where theres something at stake, and where there is a clear winner and loser?

why is it that on yahoo! answers,always india is critisized and made the topic of joke in every category(including cricket).....!??!

I have a question. See how India is out of world cup now. So what will they do until April 29. Will they play no cricket until world cup is over? Will we see no indian player anywhere until world cup is over? Will the team just sit at their homes and watch tv? I dont get it, when you are out of the world cup what do you do for the rest of the time. Will some players play domestic cricket.

Were they all Fixed?

im kinda curious..
correct me if i am wrong, isnt it true that india and pakistan can NEVER lose a game unless the match is "fixed".

too bad every time they play Australia, South Africa and England.. matches are always fixed.. its a shame really..

Mannnn, INDIA SUCKS and its all cuz of the creeps, DRAVID & CHAPPEL. They should be kicked out of the team.

Seriously, I hope they don't get any funding and lose all the sponsors. Such a big disappointment.

West Indies should clear out their beaches so the Indians can swim back home. They don't deserve to fly !! LOSERS !!

If Bermuda are able to beat Bangladesh, then India can still progress despite their poor performance against Sri Lnka today. It's not very likely, but do you think it is possible that Bermuda can pull off a shock win, and save India at the same time?

Will you agree with me that Sachin should be given Retirement under CRS i.e Compulsory Retirement Scheme.
Whenever Indian team needs him scoring he scores less than 10 in big matches just like today's match vs Srilanka.

Sachin is now out of form he can't play any more.He only plays in matches which are against the teams which are not good in playing like scotlant, bangladesh, bermuds etc. as u know he got out on duck against srilanka and he is not in a position to play now he must stop playing. so that the indian team must focus on someother batsman who is still young and can do some great in his future. what are your Suggestions regarding this all.

Okay.. I'm gonna break it down what's wrong with Indian cricket. Since I'm an indian living abroad... this is gonna be unbiased and hard to swallow.

1) No national pride. Players do not realize they're representing an entire nation.

2) Spoiled- with all the undeserving attention and accolades these players get regardless of their actions.. they seem to believe they're doing us a favor of playing.

3) Lazy- look at the body language. Horrible posture, no sense of excitement on their faces. They're simply going through the motions because they're getting paid. For God's sake.. it's the WORLD CUP. You're earning lots of money to play a game that you supposedly enjoy.

4) Old Roster- scrap the entire Roster... start again with young upcoming players. This bus has run its course.

5) Dravid/ Chappel- they say.. a captain is an extension of the coach on the field. No wonder, Ganguly was ousted. And the results are in front of us now!!.

Go head.. and vent your feelings!!
