No Never...

He WAS the best player ,3 yrs age.But certainly not now.
He has lost the flair ,adaptability and the courage to do it at this moment of time.

Sachin has been the best player in the Indian Team for a long time. However, due to his bad form of late, he cannot be considered as the best player in the Indian side now.
