A few minutes ago, I opened the door to walk my dog and as soon as I opened it, a bird flew at us! I slammed the door shut because I did not want an angry mocking bird stuck in my house! It turns out though that it was just a baby! The mockingbirds have been attacking us lately because I have a dog and they see her as a threat, so I assumed it was another bird trying to fly at us as soon as I walked out of the apartment. (which happens a lot lately.) As me, my dog, and my bf walked back to the door, we saw this baby bird sitting there! I don't know if he was hurt or just shaken up, or if he'll make it or not! My bf said we shouldn't touch it or the mother wouldn't take it back, but it's not like we could put it back in the nest, and we had to pick it up to move it, so we just set it by their tree. If it is still alive and out there, (unless a cat got it or it flew off and is ok) should I try to bring it in and take care of it or does it have a better chance if I just leave it be?

It seems pretty clear to me that marriage should be supported and encouraged. People walk out on their children far too easily and it does make more financial sense currently for people with children to live apart. It is also a fact that children in single parent families are less likely to succeed academically and more likely to become involved in crime.

Of course, I am not saying that this is the case for all single parent families, but the sense of this policy seems indisputable. In spite of this it has come under some serious fire, mainly from the kind of wishy-washy, socks and sandal wearing Liberals that have caused this colossal ****-up in the first place. What are your opinions on the matter?

Think about this before you attack me for anti-patriotism. lol.

Our dollar is sinking, the almighty Euro is rising. There are other places outside of the US where it's actually BETTER to live, with nicer people, a better pace of life, where people aren't all multi-tasking, and being cut-throat, materialistic jerks, where you actually matter, instead of being a statistic feeding into a capitalism consumer machine. Where terrorists aren't focusing on your country especially, and racism/hate exist as extreme as they do here, and people are more real and also not brainwashed by the media, plastic surgery etc, where you can grow old and actually get respected, instead of having to be ridiculed or passed off as "over."

This country is f'ed up, big time and places like Australia, Europe, parts of Asia, and South America actually beat it, for quality of life-wise.

Not all parts of the US are bad, but as a collective whole it isn't what it used to be.

Why put up with this?

I pressume this is the biggest set back of our own progress(if there is any), that we are increasing in numbers yet almost all people are either out of job or out of the country. Those who are born 2 years ago or as of this writing, would one day leave their own family to go outside the country and work there. The value of having one's family is already eroding, the concept of a family that prays together stays together is gone.

One of the solution that the government of the Philippines is introducing long time ago is the contraceptives/pills yet the Roman Catholic is opposing such endeavor, why I donot know really because of the cannon laws of the church? The other one is visectomy, yet none of the men are fully aware of what this procedure is all about.

The other solution I have in mind is civil war, just like what happen to the US in the 1800's from that time on, after the war the US became united as ever, as one nation. Remember the speech of Abraham Lincoln?

Playing out straight after breakfast, riding a bike, going fishing for tadpoles or frogs.....climbing trees...playing cops and robbers...just hanging with your mates....teasing the girlies or playing kiss-chase (my favourite!) taking a 'picnic' of jam sandwiches and biscuits...bottle of pop.....and not having a care in the world - where has the innocence gone?
