At what point in our evolutionary journey did we stop being animals, if we ever did?

I read that poodles have curly hair because they went into the water a lot, because they were work dogs helping people catch their fowl etc. Does human curly hair come from being in the water too?

I heard once that the phonemes /m/ and /t/ were common to most, if not all, languages. Who hypothesized this and what books, journals, etc. might help me find more about this theory?

Do they? I mean, they're 98.9% similar to us by DNA. They have cultures and languages. They experience rich emotions like anger, fear, and happiness. So, do Apes, along with humans, deserve to belong to a community of equals? Give me some reasons people :D!

Just from observations alone, I would agree (minus most English women of course, with their fake tanning parlour orange glows and the bottled tanning dyes), but why the English. Surely there are less sunnier climes on this earth, yet those people seem to tan well enough with limited exposure to sunlight.

Emminent anthropologists Carleton Coon and William Ripley both found through their seperate research projects that the majority of the English population, that is those individuals in England who can trace their ancestry to the 5th Century Nordic invasions of Angles, Saxons, and Jutes, and not from any later waves of immigration are by far the fairest skinned human beings on the planet.

My question is why? It's cloudier in Russia and Poland, and many of these Slavic peoples are just as blond haired and blue eyed as us English, yet they seem to tan well with increasing exposure to the sun. The same is said of the Germans and the Danes.

This is a theory I was thinking about when I saw horses doing work. Horses were domesticated somewhere between 4500BC - 2000BC

Prior to 1492 there were two worlds. Europe, Africa and Asia were the known world. The Americas formed the unknown world.

What if the biggest reason why the Native American people were less advanced is because horses in Americas were extinct by 8000BC.

Think about it, horses can exert more physical force and travel faster than a human. I think using horses enable people to build faster and larger, establish larger nations, travel faster, fight better and so on...

This is a question I've been pondering for a long time. Evolution depends on Natural Selection which says that the strong survive, allowing them to pass on their superior characteristics to their descendants. Throughout history there have been men and women who's bravery has led to their deaths. Shouldn't the bravery "trait" for lack of a better would, have been eliminated in the first organisms that exhibited it. Certainly bravery has not been conducive to survival in the past. It was certainly the bravest men that died in the French resistance of WWII (which may explain much about their current disposition). So how did bravery find its way into the human genome? Sure, it may help society as a whole, but it endangers the individual, and should therefore have been eliminated long ago.

i often wonder if there would be less screwed up people if this were so.
that is how u would learn about it 10,000 years ago if u lived in a cave
instead of discovering it accidentally , with accompanying embarrassment or from immature peers or exotic pornography
all (nearly) parents hide the act and whisper about it

I am doing a research paper on the origin and migration of man. I have searched all over the Internet for information, but I cannot find anything objective. There are no evolutionists who take a fair look at creationists and no creationists who take a fair look at evolution. Can anyone help me?
In reality, I am mainly looking for just the facts, not all the fights and controversies. I just want to know where, when, how, why, etc. man evolved/began and migrated. All I find is based on another study. I want firsthand observation and study. I am desperate. Everything is so confusing. Please tell me if any of you have anything. I could use websites, books, and essays. Thanks!

I wrote down prehistory in my notes as: when there is a comprehensible language then its prehistory, and if we can't figure out their written language, then its not considered prehistory. But apparently I thought I would remember when its considered history. But I don't. Anyone know?
