I know that satellites have revealed virtually everything on our planet, but are there still places on the earth that have yet to be seen by humans? It’s rather quite sad knowing that the earth has been completely exposed. I’m sure it was exciting for the explorers who were able to discover new territories, and for the pioneers of this country, during the early 1800’s, who were able to discover the immensity of the North American continent. It’s like playing Sid Meier’s Civilization. In the beginning of the game, you’re able to uncover new lands that are different every time you create a new scenario, but towards the end of the game, when all the world has been exposed, you lose interest because the game becomes monotonous. Kind of like… our planet.

i have been asking so many questions but i still dont understand. how the heck can you determine how far a city is from the equator and prime meridian? its easy to just go on the web and find out but i want to know how you calculate it. can somebody Please give me an math explanation?????? of how to find out how far a city is from the equator and meridian?

I don't know how many times I have told someone I'm from New Mexico, and the reply is "You live in Mexico?" I've been to Mexico once, and I don't even speak spanish. I've also had people ask "Do you know what Nikes are? Do you listen to Britney Spears?" People seem to think that New Mexico is a deserted state that has no contact with the outside world.

I'm not saying that New Mexico is the best place ever, but it is important that people know we are part of the United States! What kind of Geography is being taught these days??
