Because thioglycolic acid is diprotic (it has two H+ to donate) am I right in assuming that its redox potential is dependent on pH even though the half reaction does not have H+ or OH- transfer when it is reducing?

Does anyone know what the redox half reaction equation is when thioglycolic acid (HS-CH2-CO2H) is acting as a reducing agent? And is the reaction dependent on what is being reduced?

Thanks

Say the bomb vessel is meant to be charged to 30 bar and you charge it to 20 bar with pure oxygen, will this affect the calibration of the bomb vessel? (Will your result still be valid assuming the sample does burn up completely.)

What type of compound is vinegar?

What is the scientific name for the active ingredient in Alka-Seltzer?

What is the chemical formula for the active ingredient in Alka-Seltzer?

What type of compound is the active ingredient in Alka-Seltzer?

What is the equation for the reaction being observed? (balanced equation would be best)

What type of reaction is taking place?

All your help is really greatly appreciated, I'll be doing my own research on these questions and waiting for your responses, thanks guys.
