In a recent newspaper article, a father received custody of his child instead of the mother. The father lives in Ohio, the mother in Florida with her boyfriend. Both provided loving homes and equal incomes and had before been on a month by month basis, but the child needed to attend school and have a permanent address. So all other things being equal, the father was awarded custody because the mother and boyfriend smoked and this was affecting the childs health for example ear infections and respiratory problems. This was discussed in my college class and everyone was mad, one girl walked out. What do you think?

I live near the Los Angeles airport, and there are loud noises that have been happening for about 5 straight minutes that shake my house. It sounds like great big cannons are being shot or something, and there are helicopters circling in the sky. Any ideas? Anyone know where I can find up to the minute news info for the area?

The United States has received a very public slap in the face by the insurgents taking over a major city in iraq. We need to take the gloves off and imprison al sadyr for treason. Their military and police will never defend themselves if we keep pampering them.

Are these guys on the same team? Gotta love a president who honors a YES MAN...unlike Colin Powell, who gave the finger(and rightfully so) to an administration and the President, who has failed virtually EVERYTHING put before them.

Thank God this country has pulled out of abyss'es worse than this, and life can't get much better for ALL of us come Nov 2008...

You know, no one has seen the after life and come back to tell us about it.

So these maniacs are blowing each other away only to leave this earth and possibly be sent straight to HELL. Fire and brimstone may be their only future.

How did a culture like theirs become sick in the head... in the first place.

New York, NY
San Francisco, CA

...Those are the options. I am moving to a city for a good job involving finance as well as IT management. I don't mind a cold snowy winter, but I would like to have a hot summer as well. California has beautiful beaches and New York has so much to do (and four seasons!)... But what do you recommend, overall? Cost of living is not a factor for me, so leave that out. I want a big city with lots of buildings but also lots of scenery... and lastly, a lot of beautiful women. Just give me the good and bad from each, preferably if you've been to any.. Thanks :)
