I met Lionel Richie when he was still with the Commodores. More in the millenium, I met Gregory Hines (a year before he passed away); I met Mykelti Williamson (Bubba on Forest Gump), and Z.Z. Top (a blues singer - but I was 13 at the time and my parents stopped him on our trip to Little Rock, Arkansas). I met Sinbad, the comedian (two years ago), who was very entertaining! Most of these guys stopped by where I worked because of the product the company sold at the time. That's how I managed to meet them. Oh, and Oliver North when he'd published that book - he did a book signing at the naval station I worked at back then.

Yes. Well, they were not really THAT famous, but I go to school with two beginning actors who have both been on TV shows (law & order, etc) and had small parts in big name movies or leads in a TV movie.
Also, my little brother is in the same class as the daughter of Norbert Leo Butz (the guy who originally played Fyero(sp?) in Wicked).

When I was a traffic warden, many years ago, I spoke to the guy that plays Jim McDonald in Coronation Street. It was at the time his character was in a wheelchair. He'd parked on double yellow lines, whilst he nipped into the bank, and I asked him why he hadn't got his disabled permit displayed. He smiled, mostly because I'd told him I'd never give a paralysed person a ticket.
