A recent study done by Lancet, an estimed medical society and journal in Great Britain, concluded that over 650,000 Iraqis have been killed since the US invasion began three years ago. Of course, the US government refutes these figures, relying only on "official" numbers provided by the Iraqi government of intake into morgues. What BS that is! Most people killed in Iraq don't get the luxury of being admitted to a morgue. There is a Iraqi blogger named "Riverbend" who had a heart-rending entry about the hell on earth Iraq has become since "liberation." This paragraph really says it all:

"We literally do not know a single Iraqi family that has not seen the violent death of a first- or second-degree relative these last three years. Abductions, militias, sectarian violence, revenge killings, assassinations, car bombs, suicide bombers, American military strikes, Iraqi military raids, death squads, extremists, armed robberies, executions, detentions, secret prisons, torture, mysterious weapons -- with so many different ways to die, is the number so far-fetched?"

I've heard numbers that 300,000 people died under Saddam's 24 YEAR regime, including soldiers killed in the Iran-Iraq war It only took us three years to double that figure, mostly innocent civilians, not soldiers or terrorists. Saddam was a vicious, horrible leader, but he was generally impotent and not a threat to anyone except some of his own people. Now Bush & Company have unleased hell on earth in Iraq and made the world inherently unsafe. SHAME ON AMERICA!

Remember, be nice to America or we may bring democracy to your country!

According to the latest survey done by the Johns Hopkins University of the US and Mustansiriya University of Iraq, and published this month in the British medical journal, Lancet, the Iraqi death toll is over 655,000. The techniques used to arrive at this number are the same technique used in the past to estimate death tolls during massacres in Bosnia, Somalia, Sudan and many other places.
