Why is everyone worried about aids in africa and poverty in africa, when here in the U.S. we also have aids and poverty, I mean I understand that their problem may be bigger than ours, but don't we also need to focus on ourselves?

"After the US invasion of Iraq, Saddam was captured by U.S. forces on December 13, 2003. On November 5, 2006, he was convicted of crimes against humanity by the Iraq Special Tribunal and was sentenced to death by hanging.[3]"

i have a few questions though. was the tribunal court for saddam under Iraqui Law? i know this man has done alot of crimes against humanity.. but is it relly right to HANG him? that would cause him pain. no one in the face of teh planet should be subjected to any feeling of pain. i know he himself has caused a lot of peopel to feel pain but is it right to hang him and send a message to teh world that justice to kill someone back?

dont get me wrong.. i HATE SADDAM! but in truth and principle is it right for this man to be hanged? why not just use teh sleeper?

any feedback?

...that President Bush's neocon apologists and spin Agents will shortly begin to tear apart/water down and distort and ignore the late President Ford's words and opinions on the subject of Bush and the Iraq war, perhaps even try to go as far as paint Ford as some kind of a Liberal pawn?

Ford's statements about Bush and the Iraq war and the Nation's direction as World leader were pretty powerful stuff, and one helluva last word.

So, do you predict distortion of Ford's words to follow shortly? Perhaps a nice George Will column to start things off?

We still have responsible journalists; people who can think and write clearly, but look at the other end of the spectrum: FOX News, Bill O'Reilly, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity.........Aughhhhhhhhhh........(picture John Belushi freaking out and spinning onto the floor).

Destroy our Economy by draining our treasury, us fighting two wars, increasing our cost of fuel, making us defend our infrastructure, anything that increases our cost of living, doing business, and cost of living, putting our country in increasingly higher debt.

So terrorists just want to keep us fighting. They don't really want us to win, or lose, just drain our resources.

After all, isn't that how we defeated the Old Soviet Union, making the Cold War and Nuclear weapons too expensive to continue on?

So we are trying to win a Military victory, But the bad guys just want to make it very expensive for us.

How are they doing?

-k- you guys, there's all this talk about the WTC possibly being brought down by bombs planted inside the towers, and everybody (including some academics) who have been making these accusations automatically point the finger at our government.

But has it crossed anybody's mind that terrorists (disguised possibly as maintenance technicians) could have planted bombs inside the towers? After all, they did that very thing in 1993 to the north tower..

What are your thoughts?

Recently, the History Channel showed a documentary based ON THE LIFE AND TRIALS OF SADDAMS HUSSEIN'"s two sons. They did some pretty immoral things, and I'm not talking about religion, I mean immoral towards basic human rights. And Until today I never realized why we hunted them down. My question today is, "Why or haow did someone like his eldest son and Saddam Hussein himself get a position in power, in this day and age? What percentage of the world's countries is still ruled by people like this?

such as all the schools and infurstruction being build or the Kurds in the North that are so thankful the U.S being there. Is it that you are so anti-Bush that you refuse to report all the good things happening in Iraq, because if you present a positive side to the war people who only get their opinions based on a 30 second sound bite might have a different view of the war effert. And there are lots of positive things happening in Irqaq
