I'm curious how the park, when it first opened, addressed these issues of diversity and inclusion. I know the park opened before the Civil Rights Acts of the 1960s.

For those of you who went to the park in the 1950s, were there "cast members" of all races? Do you remember what steps were taken to make all visitors, of every racial and ethnic background, feel welcome?

[Sorry for posting this again in another category, but under "Social Science" I didn't get any answers from actual attendees or with any references or authority. Can any of you help?]

We have a small youth group going to Six Flags on the 31st. And I am attempting to find a good price on tickets. The group has anywhere from 10 or less going, and we've found a few good deals like $10 off with a Coca-Cola can, and $15 off if you buy the tickets from Albertsons, but is there anything better?

She's not scared of much except for fast roller coasters. She likes water rides and waterparks too.

We went to Idlewild last year (Ligonier, PA) and had a blast. We might go again, but we'd certainly consider another park. Maybe each year we'll visit a new park.

Does anyone else think that its racist that alton towers theme park are having a muslims only day sometime in september, if you are not a muslim you will not be allowed in?,, all food served on that day will be halal and there will be no smoking, drinking or gambling allowed! i find this racist to be honest, are they going to have a christians only day? where they are similary excluded from entry??? No They Wont Because they would all cry rasism!!
Can You Imagine if alton towers was in pakistan or werever! do you think that they would host a special day for non muslims?? i think not?!?!?!
Why should we have to give them there own special day, they are allowed in at any time with the rest of us, halal food is served in some resteraunts, and as for smoking, drinking and gambling! well thats our way of life, they chose to come her, and they should accept our way of life rather than forcing us in to there way!!! it all stinks to me

I`m sure most of us can remember the "excitement" of both young and old when it was noised abroad that the Barnaum & Bailey Circus was coming to town, and perhaps some youngsters even dreamed of runing away to join the Circus. Then the "County Fair" with the "little fat pig" carrying his suit case coming to our town. Were those the good old days or what? well Today which one do you enjoy most? and why? are they as good as they used to be or BETTER ?
