I`m sure most of us can remember the "excitement" of both young and old when it was noised abroad that the Barnaum & Bailey Circus was coming to town, and perhaps some youngsters even dreamed of runing away to join the Circus. Then the "County Fair" with the "little fat pig" carrying his suit case coming to our town. Were those the good old days or what? well Today which one do you enjoy most? and why? are they as good as they used to be or BETTER ?

I see almost everyone is big on the Fair coming to town, me too! well yes, I do like the circus too, but haven`t been to one in about 47 years, thats right 47yrs!

the county fair. pie auctions...cotton candy....livestock shows....demolition derby....corn doggies, here I come!

I remember the first time that I went to the circus, I was 6 years old. A memory that I will never forget. I've gone many times since.
I took my son when he was too young to remember much. Then I kinda just didn't think much of it anymore. A few years ago I took my 16 year old daughter to the circus for the first time. I thought she would be really against it, but she said OK. We both had a blast. She was quite impressed and I thought it was the same as a remembered as a little girl. I was just so thrilled that as a 16 year old that she enjoyed it so much.
It was a wonderful memory that I will always have spending time with my daughter that we both enjoyed so much. I hope to take my grandaughter to the circus someday. She's only 3, but I'm hoping if I take her at 5 or 6 she'll always remember it like I did.
Been to the County Fairs, but the Circus sticks out in my mind.

I love the count fair because I don't like clowns all that much, plus the county fair has a vibe to it that I totally love. The circus is okay and all but I'd much rather have the excitment of a county fair.

I love the fair! I used to show animals in 4-h but now I'm to old. I love the fair food, french fries, funnel cake, ice cream, their all soooo good. I love to ride all the rides and just act like a little kid again. To me the fair has a certain atmosphere, it just makes you happy and smiley. At our county fair we have fireworks and when the fireworks start everyone on the midway just stops and watches them. The fair goes on for 9 days and when it ends I'm always sad. It comes and goes so fast.

For me it is always the county fair because of rides and specialty food items and the different events. I love animals, but i would much rather watch a pie eating contest than stare at the back end of a giant elephant

The fair!! They're just now starting here in Northern KY...and it's the time of year when I wish I could just eat & eat & eat...funnel cakes, all the good fair food. Yummy!!

I love the fair...it's more entertaining, more stuff to do and more of a community feeling.
