How do you switch plays when you changed your mind (without using a timeout)?

There is a crime in your area (or something like that) then it said
turn off the game IMMEDEATLY! However this is not the only game this did this on, it also did on on another game I can't remember the name tho. I would put this in a glitch forum but I got to know what this is and it's causes.
