A : 9 - unless O then takes an even cell X can then play either 3 or 7 to clinch a win.

B : 5 - you can force a tie easily from that position

C : 7 - O is forced to play 4, then X plays 3 to clinch a win at that point.

Game A: Cell 9 is the best answer

Game B: Cell 5 is the best answer

Game C: Cell 3 is the best choice; then O NEEDS to choose 2; then X chooses 7; at this point you can win by choosing 4 or 5, and O can only block one

Well,it depends. It depends on your strategy. Are you trying to block the opponent? Are you focusing more on offense?(What am I saying?!)Try giving more moves/information (if you only need ONE cell)because cells 2,3,4 and 7 are good for game A.In game B: almost all of them are alright. And in game C:well....maybe X should think......then go for any cell except cell 8 and 6.(I think)I just answered this for the points...hehehehe....I also wanted to share my knowledge. :)

WOPR: (From "WarGames") "a strange game. the only winning move is...not to play"

granted, the WOPR was referring to the game "Global Thermonuclear Warfare," but the remark applies to tic-tac-toe as well, despite the numerous incarnations of tic-tac-toe that showed up as gameshows on tv...(Hollywood Squares with Paul Lynde* in the center square, TicTac Dough, New Hollywood Squares with Whoopi Goldberg in the center square)

*p.s. ask your mom or dad who Paul Lynde was
