It shouldn't cost them too much to spring for cleaner water. Do you really trust the tap water out there?

I can't bring myself to drink 8 glasses of water a day as reconmended. I drink alot of tea about 6-8mugs a day. Can this count as drinking 8 glasses of water? Tea is mostly made of water anyway & I do have as huge mug!!

Notes: I use an extra fine grind. I boil the water first, then add the coffee (and sometimes sugar).

So the choices I have are:

Strain it immediately (like the Brazilians do)?

Or continue to boil the coffee 'till it bubbles (kind of like the Turkish method) before serving?

Thanks. First hand anecdotes are appreciated.

I remember back in the 80's, if you shake a soda can just a little, you and your friends will be showered in Coca Cola. Now the vending machines drop the can really hard and nothing happens when you open it... Why...?

I'm looking for a recipe for beverage that I can take to a potluck at work. Preferably either a make ahead recipe or a mix. I'm thinking along of lines of a coffee and/or chocolate drink, non-alcoholic as it's for work.

If you let it sit, the foam will slowly fizzel down, but if you just barely touch the surface of the foam with a finger tip, the foam fizzles out almost twice as fast.
