Every restaurant that makes coffee and ice using any machine does use filtered water. For the coffee machine, there is a filter on the water line running to the machine. They don't fill the coffee mug up and pour the water into the machine like most people do at home. For the ice machine, there is a filter inside the machine and a filter on the water line running to the machine.

If you want to check for yourself, you can ask any management at any restaurant if their water is filtered. 95% of the time, the water coming into the building is filtered just inside the walls of the building and then at the machine itself. But not all machines will filter the water. It's mandatory that each restaurant use a water filtration system.

Our body is designed to run on pure water. You must replace what is used through evaporation, elimination & sweating.

You must also replace this water with the highest quality water available. Your body can tell the difference in water & stuff that is in the water. Your body will use the water & deposit the stuff in your body to build up & cause problems.

Tap water is out of the question. There is no tap water in America that can be consumed safely without proper purification.

Chemicals have become too much a part of our environment in the last 50 years.

Over 119 chemical contaminants have found their way into the nations tap water supply that are tested for, but 11 are consistently over the EPA's limits. There are another 141 chemical contaminants that are not even regulated or tested for but found in the nations drinking water supply.

And chemical contaminants are not the only problem.

Cryptosporidium Parvem, a microbial parasite & Giridia have been found in 85% of the nations drinking water supply drawn from surface water supplies. They cause symptoms like irritable bowel, digestive problems, lactose intolerance & leaky gut syndrome.

Many people pay for mineral water. Even the calcium that is dissolved in the water is in an unusable form. It binds with the toxins & forms plaque in your arteries that is the major cause of Heart Disease.

Heart Disease is the #1 Killer in America, with Cancer as the #2 Killer in America.

If you drink bottled water, you must trust the bottled water companies to change the filters on time & that they are handling the jugs & lids in a sanitary manner. This is especially important since there is no chlorine in bottled water.

Chlorine removal is essential for any water we use. The dioxins which chlorine converts to build up in the body forever & cause many types of cancer such as bladder, bowel, colon, testicular, rectal & breast cancer. There are 50,000 cases of bladder cancer a year alone.

Your cancer risk is 93% higher when using chlorinated water. The EPA has set standards for chlorine in tap water that can be 33% higher than in a swimming pool.

If you want your Health, pure water must be at the top of your list.

what else would the govt. make you do ?
tap water is safe , whether you like or not , it is all a matter of taste , most bottle water you buy ? the quality is not safer because it has been put in a bottle , of course in some countries .the water is NOT safe , but i am assuming you live in a somewhat civilized country?
In most developed nations drinking water is piped to homes and is available on tap. Usually it is safe water.

The provision of tap water requires a massive infrastructure of piping, pumps, and water purification works. The cost of tap water is a small fraction of that of bottled water, often as little as a ten-thousandth.

The same water supply that is used for drinking is also used for washing, flushing toilets (water closets), washing machines, and dishwashers. Experimental attempts have been made to introduce non-potable greywater or rainwater for these secondary uses.

In many areas, fluoride is added to the tap water as a means to improve public dental health. This remains a controversial issue in terms of the health, freedoms and rights of the individual.

The availability of clean tap water brings major public health benefits. Usually, the same administration that provides tap water is also responsible for the removal and treatment before discharge or reclamation of wastewater.

would you like a drink of water ? on tap or not ?:-)

ps:

recent studies indicate that there are no more ill effects from drinking tap water than from drinking "purified" or bottled water. It's a waste of money and resources, and 10,000 times more expensive.

Our parents and everyone before us did just fine without designer water - why do we need this stuff now all of a sudden? So drink companies can make more money is why. thats the only reason.

Still, it's hard to imagine the government resticting restaurant use of tap water when they create the standards for drinkable tap water.

i hate tap water. i just moved to a city, from the middle of now where, and i hate the taste of the water. it tastes like a swimming pool. the water they are using is filtered, but is coming from a bad source which makes it taste so bad, because they have to put so many chemicals in the city's water supply to make it drinkable. There was a study that shown, 85% of restaurants ice makers (ice cubes) contained more bacteria than the toilet water in a restaurants......gross eh.

Yes, I think there should be an Act of Congress to cover water filters in restaurants.

They should simply because most restaurants are located within town limits and town water taste's bad. Also, it has been known to happen that bacteria is sometimes found in town water that can cause stomach ailments.

I`ve been drinking Philadelphia,PA. water all my life. I`m 56yo and have no complaints. I have tasted water from other states and found it to be horrible. Maybe I`m just used to Philadelphia water. It wouldn`t hurt to use filtered water, no matter where you are.
