Im 19 years old. I have a boyfriend of 2 years and he always tells me i shoudl have friends that i can hang out with and talk to. But i dont know how. ever since elementary school who i thought were my friends would alwasy talk behind my back and everything. even through high school. My bf and I are in our sophmore year of college and I still have not made any friends yet. I just dont knwo how to. I am shy so i know that's a problem. also my parents divorced when i was younger and they fouhgt alot throughout the years. So i have a very difficult time trusting people. I dont want to open up to people cause i cant trust them. I have peopel at work who i enjoy talkign to and sometimes hang out with them.I dont know if they are considered "friends" though .they always tlak abotu how they are going ot the movies and everything but i am never invited.. i always want to ask but i think it is rude to invite yourself. is it?

I jus dont knwo how to make friends. any books or advice?

This year wasnt so great at high point it was mialdly fun but at most points it was barable. A whole nother year? I dont know if i wanna go threw another year if its gonna be anything like this one. Its just so over whelming i have to go threw a whole nother year... its just so depressing, another year of being alone, another year of getting in trouble, another year to be bord, another year to not be happy. GOD I DONT WAN TO DO THIS! But the alternative is not so good. Anybody feel the way i do?

I don't know her last name, but she has a brother and a sister, and her mother was a pre-school teacher. She will be 37 this January. She was homecoming queen at a private school in the Rockford area, I think her junior year. She also went to an Assembly of God church.

what do you do when you have a boyfriend . and your boyfriend's best friend is a girl . and even though you've talked to him about it, you still feel as if though he likes her or something . that he'd rather spend time with her than with you , shouldnt your girlfriend be your best friend too

I'm 17...my boyfriend lives very far away so we can't be together for new years...all my close friends are stuck doin other stuff tonight but a friend of mine wants me to come with her and her friends to an underage club...its pretty far away n im kinda scared ill get lost...n its not really my scene..n im pretty sure theyre just going to pick up guys...but i dont have anything else to do tonight...any opinions?

I am really confused... Why did she not reply?
Yeah, so I text this girl whom I like to wish her a very Happy New Year. I text her two times; with the second one longer and more 'creative'. Her reply to the first one is short and rather abbreviated, just wishing me "happy new year to u", but she didn't reply the second time round.

Is she offended?
I mean why would she be angry and offended with the second message? It does not contain all those 'love' things and only about friendship.

*(We are just friends. Two months ago I told her my feeling but she said she just want to be friends. But, I often communicate with her and am very kind to her.)

Does that mean there is no more hope for me? Does that mean she will not like me forever?

I loved my grandmother very much i wish i would have went to see her more and i wiched my mom would have gone to see her she loved my mom so much that she ecen wrote on the card please come and see me soon. during my semester in college, I was working with a group of girls within a semester long project. And at first they seemed to be pretty self motivated about the research and were pretty nice girls. but then our meetings seemed to drag with talks of their life problems, and whenever they promised to meet in a different location - other than within school grounds- they wouldn't come. leaving me in a loop hole. Also, i did a large part of the research and found most of the materials we could use for the project, but i was cool with it all. Until on the part where we all had to do a short evaluation in the end. and i wrote exactly what i've experienced and how i felt about every one of them. Now if they were good friends they would take the trouble in trying to figure out the problem. but nooo. they just yelled at my face and one of them even cussed at me. and i did not yell nor did a say anything bad, but rather was almost in the verge of tears.pathetic. i know. but are they good peop.?

i have to friends that don't even get along, but when ever i turn my back they are all like your my best friend and i want to be your BFF but that can't work because it is seriously pissing me off. I'm afraid to break up with one of my friends because she knows all my deep dark secrets and i don't want to break up with the other because we are inseperatble. I can't talk to them because then i'll be afraid that i'll lose one of their friendship and trust but i can't pretend that it doesn't bother me anymore because it seriously is. Can anyone help me over come my proplem or atleast calm it down a bit?

relative tells me...Finally, i confronted him in a nice way..."why are you saying stuff about me?"...he denied it...but FIRST HE ASKED ME WHERE I HAD HEARD IT FROM?...i just said..."oh, around"...but it keeps happening and he keeps denying...and i know it is TRUE BECAUSE HE BAD MOUTHS OTHERS..;BUT WHEN CONFRONTED...denies it...what can I do?..people are getting sick of him...and frankly so am i???
