Friends - July 2006

I am going into 10th grade and transferred to a new school over the summer. How do I make new friends when school starts? I am the shy type and people usually mistake me as a B****, but i'm really not. And everybody will have already made friends from freshman year...what should I do to make friends? because I know that I can't just wait for them to come up to me. I figure this is basically my last shot to turn myself around in high school and I want to make the best of it and have a fun time. I plan on trying out for the dance team and doing the multi-cultural club. But i need input from u people. Plus--- any suggestions where to shop for school clothes? What electives should i choose to have fun and also make new friends? Thanks!!

see i have a friend and all she ever does is be like "i am a loser" "im stupid" "im ugly" which se isnt she is not a loser, she is very smart, and very pretty, all the guys like her! and she is always mean to herself, so why do people do that, is it just for attention?

I used to have a friend (a good one, girl) but due to some misunderstandings our friendship came to an end (I hope it's not completely ended). I know that she is going to face a big problem which might jeopardize her life (it may be true or not) but I would like to warn her and also I would like to clear all misunderstandings between her and myself. I'm not bothered whether she accepts to be my friend again or not. But, I care for her a lot what to do?? Should I go and tell her everything or just clear the misunderstandings. Ok, there's not really exactly a problem, it's just that my boyfriend and my best friend are really good friends. They have parties together and stuff, and I never really bothered w/ it....I just don't know how comfortable w/ it. I love my boyfriend, and my best friend is amazing and I wouldn't give her up for anything, but it's just strange to see them getting along so well....

I definitely don't want to dump my boyfriend, or give up my best friend.

Does anyone have any ideas on how I can become more comfortable w/ the situation?

This guy and I hooked up yesterday and the day before he hooked up with a grl that he may or may not like. The day before that he hooked up with a different grl. I kinda like him but mostly wanna hook up with him agian.I dunno waht I should do or if i should talk to him. If i dont talk to him how do i hook up with him again, but if i do talk to him ill probably screw things up. Im bad at talking it always sinks my ship. My best friend was molested by her brother as a child. She's never told anyone before, I'm the only one she has told. Now that they are all grown up, her brother got married and they are having their first child, a girl. She is afraid that the same thing will happen to that little girl.
