Do celebrities receive monetary compensation for appearing on late night talk shows like The Tonight Show and Late Show with David Letterman? What about non-celebrities who appear on those shows?

What about those who appear on daytime talk shows like The Today Show, Regis and Kelly, and Oprah? Do celebrities and non-celebrities get paid for appearing on those shows?

does anyone anyone else think that it is so funny that the guy, mikey, from that wanna be a soap star show had like 10 lines his whole run on the show and they killed him off the second they could, and then beth ann who wasn't even the runner up now is on the show. i can only guess that they will try and put her with antonio when jessica and nash get together. so much for the winner getting a the role of a lifetime.

I've watched him on NYPD Blue, and on CSI: Miami, and all he does is stand around and pose wearing his sunglasses and suits with no ties for most of the show. He's not handsome enough to just be on a show posing with his hands in his pockets without having better acting credentials.
I guess I sound like a hater but I just don't know why he has success, but if you're a woman, you have to be drop-dead gorgeous to be successful.

Do you think, they're just a private "UTOPIA" community? Doing research on both islands. The plane crash wasn't planned by the others, but they seem to be taking advantage of it. The kids they took, the people... Are they part of experiments. Some times I think The Others are using the Kids to project images into the Jungle... Kate's horse, Polar Bears etc. .. I don't know everything is a reach... HELP NEW IDEAS...

More things going on with their powers? It sucks that the little japaneze guy lost his powers...makes it dull. And the cheerleader, whenever anything happens with her it's awesome. But the Indian dude, or whatever he is...Boorrrrr-rrrriiiiiiiinnnnggggg. I always TiVo the show, but when I see him on, I fast forward. The show is supposed to be Sci-Fi...It needs more action. Does anyone agree?

I looked for this video on the vh1 website, and couldn't find it. It's a clip of a comedy show where the comedian makes a joke, and the camera pans through the audience, showing them laughing, and right in front of the camera is an African American woman who looks right at the camera as if to say "what??? I did NOT get that?? That was NOT funny!"

Has anyone else seen this video? Where can I find it? Is it on YouTube? THANKS

It's bad enough with the commercials, but many times the closing credits of a particularly powerful or moving film gives me time to have a catharsis of sorts, a time to reflect and absorb what I just saw. But on regular TV, the credits just begin to scroll when suddenly the local TV news dimwits burst onto the screen with something like, "A LOCAL MAN MARRIES A TREE! I BET THAT GIVES HIM A LOT TO PINE ABOUT! FILM AT 11!" ad nauseum until the credits are over. Wouldn't it be great to just be able to enjoy the movie's credits (and music) without these stupid cutaways?
