Television - 31 August 2006

There was a movie that played on TV back in the mid to late 80's about a Father who had to send there kids to a orphanage because for some reason he could not take care of them anyways the new "parents" beat the kids and made one disabled dad finaly found out what was happening and came and got the kids back and beat the hell outta the people that did it.....Anyways does anyone ever remember that show and know the name of it... I thought it would be a show to let my 8th graders to watch...Let me know thanks

I'm asking this question because I don't know anything better. I'm not trying to suggest anything or have any intensions other than I'm trying to learn because I'm stupid.

Anyway, everytime I watch tv, look @ billboards, or read magazine & newspaper, 3 out of 5 times, a white lady and a black guy are always paired together. If there are 2 white ladies, it's mostly likely the blonde (or with blonde highlights) would be paired up with a black guy. I want to understand the meaning behind it & why advertisers and producers feel it has to be that way. Ex. are TV commericals, news, extras for a show, ads from Sears, JcPenny, etc..

The other question is how come asian guys are not included in TV very often?

Avatar: The Last Airbender is currently my most favorite show, perhaps the best show I've ever watched, in my opinion.

I am not sure if they were lost in a space ship, or some kind of complex on a planet. I barely remember this show, but the sets were very low-budget, and something in my memory tells me it was on public televsion, though I could be wrong about that. I seem to remember they had puzzles to solve, and needed to go somewhere. Lastly, although I barely remember this show, I know it existed :)

I have the dvds and on them they have the names of the episodes, example: " the puppet show" "nightmares"

" out of mind, out of sight " prophecy girl"

I cant figure wich way to watch them, because i want to wtch them in order but i cant figure out if you start with the two episodes on top or do you watch the first one then go to the one bellow and then back to the second on top? Please help!!
