i mean can i get additional channels apart from freeview without using sky or ntl / telewest

yeah you buy a a box thats called top-up tv. it has freeview, but you can purchase other channels for a fee. There is no contract.

Yes you can get a top up card for £7 or so a month which gives you some extra channel but only at certain times. It doesn't give you Sky channels or MTV and such.

No, you pay for the box a one off payment and they are reducing in price.
