[♥]What do yah think of this poem?
*I'm 14
*I have BAD writer's block when a topic is thrown @ me.
*I hate poetry sometimes, especially when I have to write it.
*I had to do an exaggerated poem/elegy.
*I know it sucks, so you don't have to tell me LOL...just say what I should change.

HEAT:

It covers the atmosphere in haze.
Almost as scorching as a stove.
Sets the pavements and streets ablaze.
And roves furiously through the grove.

Melts the cars,
And roasts each tree.
Diffuses candy bars
And sunburns: third degree.

Melts ice in a flash
And dehydrates the leaves.
Burns the air to ash;
It's the intolerable heat.

Time for today's joke! Everyone ready...?

John is stranded on a desert island when he finds a lamp. He rubs the lamp and out comes a genie. "I'll grant you three wishes," the genie says, "but there's a catch. For everything I grant you, every lawyer in the world gets double."

John thinks about this for a minute. "Yeah, sure. Doesn't look like there's anything I can do about that. But for my first wish, I'd like ten million dollars."

"All right," the genie says, "but that means that every lawyer in the world will get twenty million dollars. Are you sure?"

John nods. POOF! He gets his ten million dollars, and every lawyer gets twenty million dollars.

Next day, John rubs the lamp again. "I'd like a new red sports car," he says.

ZAP. He gets his car, and the lawyers get their cars.

A little later, John rubs the lamp again. "This is your last wish," the genie says. John smiles. "I've always wanted to give a kidney."

Alcohol should be illegal! It is the cause of ruined relationships, health problems, and drunk drivers, which can kill innocent people! Beer sucks. Whoever invented it clearly wasn't thinking about what damage it can do.
