sometimes its like every question I go to answer is from a preteen or something and they ask questions about pregnacy or little things as if their life is over. I mean I know I should have more remorse b/c I was once their age and thinking alot of the same things but sometimes its just too much and annoying...any other older people 18+ annoyed?

*coughcough* foodfight! *coughcough*

I went to Joseph H. Gaudet Middle School, in Middletown 1983-1987.

For lunch we often had "Salisbury steak" which of course was the famous Mystery Meat. It would come with several things, including rehydrated mashed potatoes and this syrupy kind of gravy. When mixed up and flung at the wall with a plastic spork, the mixture would adhere to the cafeteria wall in no time flat, the potatoes drying up and becoming as hard as concrete.

Also, straws made very good peashooters (literally!) and if you connected empty cardboard milk cartons with straws (through holes punctured by a fork) , you got an instant "pretend" space station.

There were also lots of ways to tick off the wrinkly, shaky old lunch ladies . . .

Hangin' out
Down the street
The same old thing
We did last week.
Not a thing to do
But talk to you
Whoa...yeah.

Hello Wisconsin!
