I think this has a terrible effect on a child's self esteem, I believe children who are harmed by their parents often compare themselves, unfavorably, to children who's parents do not physically abuse them. In my experience parents who claim it never did them any harm have problems of their own as a consequence, but fail to recognise them

i apparently look like a pistachio because i have dark features but greenish eyes.
i swear my friend looks like a blanched almond because of her pale skin and smoothness.

I have often seen, even Top Contributors, with only a few miserable answers. However sometimes, I have re-read my question and thought, hummm-- it was a bit zany, no wonder it was mostly ignored. I am aware that different times of the day or week affects the replies, but I am not bothered to chase points. I just write what I want, when I want. How about you?
