I think that's a very sweet way to greet a daughter & yes, you remind me of my dad too- he is also in heaven now & I often think about him and those many special little things he used to say & we used to do together...I miss him and most of all his hugs & kisses- there's nothing quite tender & amazing like that !! My mom has her own special ways too & one is when we're together she always wakes me up with a cup of morning coffee and I think it's just so sweet & so loving. After losing one parent now I cherish & savor every bit of it and I think when things like this happen, they somehow develop in us a whole new set of outlook & we also start to look at things quite differently..♥ ...

Actually my mum said the same thing to me. Good morning ,sunshine, why did you wake so soon.
Your teacher came at ten o'clock but now she'll come at noon.

I wasn't homeschooled or anything it was just another of my mum's silly ditties she used to sing to me.

Like your father, both my parents have passed but I have lovely memories like the above of her and my dad.

That was so nice of your Father to say that. I don't recall my parents saying the same thing every morning.

I used to say the same thing too, to my two daughters every morning. And I still say that to them when we talk on the phone, even if it isn't morning.

Your dad deserved the love you have for him...

I too have lost my dad... he had a habit of laughing aloud... I used to forget all my worries on having his first glimpse... we in the current times even sparsely smile what to talk of laughing aloud...

I love you daddy dead...
