A friend of mines was brutally assaulted and raped 3 months ago.. she was tested for any STD's she was clear, there was semin found inside of her, but she was taking birthcontrol so no one was thinking she'd be pregnant. Well come to find out she is 3months pregnant and deeply depressed she doesnt know what to do.. her father wants her to get rid of it her mother wants her to keep it, shes extremely afraid of what her baby symbolizes.. I told her as being the best friend I could be.. I would support her decision and support her, but I was wondering what you all were thinking, maybe you can give me some ideas of how to talk to her and to help her through this sad time..

I don't know. I appreciate both of them...But actions do speak louder than words...

But hearing is another thing. You can always conjure up an image to replace what you are missing...

Do you think that:
1. People who know nothing about the depressing tales of Lemony Snicket's books will actually read the back where it says not to read if you don't want to hear a sad story?
2. If they do read it, will they actually put down the book?
3. Lemony Snicket's books are too sad, especially for kids who are probably the main readers?
4. It is better for kids to read happier things?

Do you stay in the dark or do you turn on some candles?

I stay in the dark. But that's just me. (I know my house pretty well, plus it's entertaining since there's nothing else to do anyways!)
