I don't know. I appreciate both of them...But actions do speak louder than words...

But hearing is another thing. You can always conjure up an image to replace what you are missing...

I can't chose!!!

Hearing. Although life would be hard without either, it would be harder without eyesight. When you become blind, life becomes so hard. You can't SEE! You can't see where you're going, you can't read, if you want to continue your education, you'll probably need to learn braille. Imagine never being able to see again. Sure, you hear even better now, but you can't SEE! Blindness limits you from more things than deafness. Deafness sucks too, since it makes communication harder. Still, you could easily get an education, and try to get a good job that doesn't require too much hearing. For example, a computer programmer might need to hear a little bit, but they will still be able to read what their assignment is about. Blind people wouldn't even be able to see the computer. They wouldn't even notice if they accidently hit "r" instead of "t." Even good typers, when going fast, can make mistakes. The bottom line is that blindness is definitely worse than deafness.

Also, if you're deaf, you can get a cochlear implant, which I think is like maybe a 70% cure. Maybe even 90%.

I'd rather lose my hearing. Without being able to hear, you can still make your way in the world. You can walk by yourself, drive a car, learn to read lips in order to communicate, work a normal job. Your life would be different and lonely without voices or music, but still mostly the same. Without vision, though, the world would become a very dangerous place. You would have difficulty navigating the simplest situations and would have to depend much more on others. I'd definitely keep my vision if I had a choice.

Definately hearing. I have like super sonic hearing and things that sound normal to someone else seems overly loud to me which is nerve wracking. I would miss the sound of laughter & beautiful music, but not as much as I would miss the faces of the people I love. I think i would feel totally lost without my eyesight. I couldn't imagine not knowing where i was.
Thank you God for my 20/20

My first impulse is to say hearing, but my mother is deaf, and she always says that deafness is extremely isolating, and I know that she would prefer blindness. So I have to agree and say that losing your eyesight would be preferable, if I really had to choose. I can't imagine a world with no music in it.

personally in my opinion..i wud chose to keep eyesight b/c hearing is imp. buh eyesight is in a way more impotarnt b.c u can c wat ppl are saying and u can learn sign language or ways to understand a person or write it out. but without eyesight, hearing is just not enough. besides hearing tends to worsen as old age approaches. but there are always glasses for eyes. i hope this helps

i would rather lose my hearing. Cuz if you think about it at least you would still be able to communicate with people by writing down what you said. I think you'd be waaaay too vunerable if you couldn't see. think of the danger!!!!! so yeah i'd wanna be blind. actually i'd rather be neither but for the sake of ur question i'll just say deaf.

I would definatly choose to lose my hearing. I could not bare the thought of never being able to see the smile on my childrens faces again and not to watch them grow into adults.

Hearing - I could still ride my horses and drive and do all the stuff I like most.
However I do know that deafness is no picnic - my hubby's going deaf and it's really annoying to him.

Hearing. At least being deaf I could still communicate by writing or sign language. Being blind is much worse.
